The Crime Lab – How it works – applied
1. You contact our lab where you explain to a forensic expert the reasons for your approach, giving all the details of the case. Immediately, the forensic scientist and his team investigate the case by compiling a brief history which he forwards electronically to the laboratories that he deems should be directly involved for scientific reports.
2. Thereafter and on a direct date to be set by the Chief Forensic Scientist of THE CRIME LAB they will take part in a teleconference:
- the participating scientists – experts initially nominated to contribute their expertise
- the representatives from the laboratory who will be appointed on a case-by-case basis (e.g. a criminal investigation will involve a criminologist and a police officer with relevant experience)
- the clients’ advocates and litigants
3. At the end of the teleconference, instructions are given to the respective laboratories along with the material required on a case-by-case basis to perform scientific work to prove the truth through their expert reports.
4. Within a reasonable time the reports are delivered interpreted to their principals – parties to the case for submission to the court and the judges to form a conviction through thorough scientific investigations and not through theories.
