Kelly Ioannou

Kelly Ioannou is a PhD candidate in Criminology at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom.

She is the lead professor in the field of Criminology and Forensic Psychology at ICPS College of Human Sciences and an Associate Professor of Forensic Psychology at the University of UCLan. She studied Clinical Criminology at the University of Leicester, graduating with honors and specializing in the phenomena of revenge pornography and cyberterrorism.

She is the founder of Traumahelp, the only center in Greece dedicated to the treatment and recovery from electronic trauma, and she is a certified coach by the leading international body, the “Association for Coaching.” She has clinical experience in the field of Electronic Trauma (internet addictions, online blackmail, bullying, harassment, etc.) as well as in Divorce – Parental Separation Management.

As the CEO of the International Institute of Cybersecurity (CSI Institute), she actively and passionately supports the vision of the Institute, which promotes educational and philanthropic purposes such as the prevention and management of online security issues, as well as education, empowerment, and scientific research in the field of new technologies and the internet.

Additionally, she holds a degree in Communication and Mass Media from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Previously, she worked for seven years as a journalist specializing in police and judicial reporting, covering phenomena of social pathology, organized crime, and cybercrime. She has worked in media outlets such as the Huffington Post, SKAI Radio, Alpha TV, ERT TV, enikos.gr, and the newspaper REAL.
